Dr. Augustus has over 20 years of experience in adult psychiatry and 18 years in private practice.
Upon completing her bachelor's degree in microbiology at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, she completed medical school at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, and residency at LSU-MC in New Orleans, LA, in 1996.
After completing her education and training in Louisiana, Dr. Augustus relocated to Memphis and worked at regional hospitals and facilities around the Tri-State area of Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. In 2001, she branched out and began her private practice - Christian Psychiatric Services.
Dr. Augustus has a holistic approach to mental health.
With a calling to address the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of people, Dr. Augustus emphasizes a healthy diet and regular physical activity, while optionally integrating her spiritual beliefs and principles into each patient's healing process.
In 2011, Dr. Augustus began offering TMS to her patients as a proven and effective alternative to traditional medication.
